Ultras Culture

CURVA is an interdisciplinary project of the University of Florence that investigates ultras culture as a platform for expressive practices, collective creativity, and socio-political participation. Through a comparative approach between the Italian context (Curva Fiesole, Fiorentina) and the Turkish context (Çarşı group, Beşiktaş), the research analyzes the musical, textual, performative, and media practices of organized supporter groups in order to understand processes of identity construction, affective dynamics, and strategies of self-representation developed within the contemporary communicative ecosystem.
